Please try setting the 5222 to record 24/7 and check the output files for it and let us know if it results in the same thing...

I replaced the 2310 cameras with Reolink cameras since my Reolink NVR doesn't have this problem. If I use the dlink system again, it'll be in a situation where playback reliability isn't a concern. Thank you for your attention on this.

Would have been nice to know if the 5222 camera has the same experience. To know weather if it was a camera or NVR issue.

Good Luck.

Just to follow up on this, I too have a 5222 camera, but that camera does not seem affected. In my situation, the problem seems to be with my DCS-2300L's and seems to be specific to the DNR-202L Firmware. If I use any firmware newer than 2.00.11 on the DNR-202L, the DCS-2330L recorded videos will be incomplete.

This has been a major bug bear for me. I have 7 DCS-2330L cameras around the property, thats a lot of investment. If I have to replace all those cameras to have a reliable system, I will just invest my money into another company with a more reliable system. To add to my frustrating, as of Jan 2020 I can not view my videos on HDD Viewer as I can not select 2020 as a year.

I'll have D-Link look into this.

The 2020 year is now known to D-Link and that's under current review. Hoping it will be fixed...

The new firmware has not resolved my issue of incomplete playback, please see my comments below from my other post;

So I have tried the new firmware. And yes, I can now select dates in 2020. However, my recorded video is now incomplete as per my comments in the other post. Video that is recorded manually seems to work fine. But video that is recorded on motion detection is incomplete. The preview shows me that it should be a 3 or 4 minute clip, but only about 30sec to 1min of the actual video will play. This has always been a problem for me when using the DNR-202L and my outdoor DCS-2330L cameras. If I use anything beyond version 2.00 of the DNR-202L firmware, my videos do not play back properly.  There is obviously something wrong in these later firmware versions in regards to the DNR-202L and the DCS-2330L cameras that has not been resolved. My other camera on the other hand, a DCS-4802E seems to work fine. And yes, the DNR-202L was factory reset after the firmware installation and the DCS-2660L cameras are running the latest firmware. So how can this be resolved?

And back to my original question, when will the HDD Viewer software be fixed as that is not addressed with this firmware update.

They are still working on the software.

For your DCS-2330L cameras, what hardware revision are they and what firmware are you using on them (1.12 or 1.14B03)?

I do not see this issue reported. You may want to contact tech support in your country.

Some of them are on 1.12, some are on 1.14. But I don't have 1.14b03, where can I get that from to try it out?

Also, the problem is only with motion detection scheduled recording. If I have the cameras record manually (24/7) then the video playback works fine.

I just checked the camera's again. 4 of the cameras are using 1.14.03, 3 are using 1.12 and one of them is using 1.02. So I think the issue is with the DNR-202L firmware, not the camera firmware.

Have you tried the recent Beta FW for the DNR?

Yeah I tried it when it became available. But same story, incomplete video. Strange though, its only an issue with motion detected recordings. These recordings will only play the first 30 seconds to a minute of the recording even though the recording might be 3 minutes long. But if I set the cameras to constant record, all the recorded video plays back beautifully. Weird.

I'll pass this alone to D-Link for review. Might take a while as China seems to be on lock down and there Lunar year was conveniently extended.  ::)
