If you have UPnP enabled on the play station 3 and add a game fuel rule for it than there would be no reason to open up ports for it via the router page. Well at least those are my results after continuous testing. Also If your router came pre set with 1.21 N/A I would just recommend you to update it. 1.21 N/a had issues that later firmware might have fixed.

I agree with Lookin on the UPnP, however we did discuss this and I feel he needs to get things cleared up with his ISP and signal levels and once thats done, give v1.21 a chance first to see if he needs to update or not. I do agree that most people had a hard time with that version however some didn't. Lets get his system running well first then see if the 4500 needs an update.  ;)

Good to here, looks like the 4500 is probably set up and good to go. Now to get a stable signal on the ISP side of things.  ::)

LOL was joking with ya...I think most techs are fairly good...I guess it depends on how much they were trained and what they make an hour dictates how well they perform and motivates them.  ::)

What they make an hour shouldnt affect job performance, I only make 13.50 at dodge and I go out of my way to do stuff. Anyways..Question about the on screen time on the router. How do I go about changing it. Its way off lol

well You and me both, some people don't care about doing a good job though, regardless of the pay. LOL.

Got to Tools/Time and enable NTP server and use the address: time.nist.gov. This is the atomic clock that is maintained by the gov to keep time around the world it's free and there are other addresses too. What part of the world or time zone are you in? I can get you a better address.

Not sure of the time zone, But I live in Huntsville Alabama. If you could do that for me I would appreciate it

This one is in Georgia:
nist1.columbiacountyga.gov

Next closer one is Virginia:
nist1.aol-va.symmetricom.com

give the one in GA a try first. Either way, your router time will be sync'd correctly.

Hmm..first I was like..heeeeyyy I am a Tech. :-) Then I was like..hmmm..no your right. LOL. Pay isn't a big part of it, its passion for the job. It just sucks that us good ones get paid exactly the same amount (mostly) as the bad ones. And anyone here, working for free, certianly has a passion for their job if their in the technical support field. Last, anyone in any buisness will know inside horror stories of the "bad apples". Not sure what you do, but if your a mechanic, then i am sure you know a few horror stories of bad mechcanics. Even the higher paid ones. Thats why these types of communties are good though, they allow the cream to rise to the top. Not that I am cream..more like a smooth pudding. Mmmmmm..pudding. :-)

Nah im glad im not a mechanic. I work in parts dept selling parts to customers and to the techs, And yea got a ton of bad apple storys, Pudding is good you will more than likely rise to the very top.

I was going through the router and I just noticed there a ton of options, Kind of overwhelming to me. Im not much of a networking guy..I only build gaming computers, I sure am glad you guys know out alot about this router :]
