DCS-936L Camera Firmware Update V1.06.01
Updated Firmware Today May 09 Via The "New Firmware" Available Notification When Logging On To The My-Dlink App. Bricked The First Camera.
Used The Web Utility To Upload The Firmware On The Second Camera With The Same Result. Now What Do I Do. Used A Network Utility And Found The First Camera Is Using IP Address 10.255.255.1 When Connected To The Camera Directly Trying To Setup The Local Wi-Fi Settings Which Finally Cant Find Any Dlink Cameras > Dead End.
I Will Hold Off Updating The Third Camera (If It Works Don't Fix It) > Three Strikes?

Same here.  Updated using Mydlink Lite app on Android then camera lost connection to my wifi network and wouldn't re-connect.  Tried to re-add the camera using the app, but it was not able to find my wifi network.  In fact it was not able to see any wifi network even after I relocated the camera next to my router.  It would also not connect with SSID and password entered manually.  Managed to get it to connect once using WPS but as soon as I relocated the camera back to original position, it stopped connecting again. This firmware is not marked as beta. I'm getting frustrated too.

We've updated several units and they work without issues.

The default IP for this camera is 10.255.255.1. If you can still log into the web UI try downgrading the firmware to 1.05 and see if it restores connectivity.

Have any of you tried resetting the camera (paperclip in reset hole for 10 seconds)?

Same with my cams. Will not connect after the update, however, it appears the camera's are still working, just not in the network. My guess is the firmware is rejecting SSL connections after the KRACK fix, so it's impossible to login to the camera. Has anyone tried turning off WiFi SSL and using WPS to re-connect and downgrade the firmware? Seems this should work, and here is the prior firmware version. http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=dcs-936l

Yes, reset the camera about 8 or 9 times now and Im the same as Gary and Py below....just cant reconnect it, wont find the network/wifi ...its dead

How are we suppose to roll back....going to http://10.255.255.1 does nothing, doesn't find the camera....can it be connected to a PC and then reinstall 1.05??

Looks like there is something with the encryption. The camera is NOT bricked.

Do you have a wireless computer? If so, set the IP settings to DHCP. Connect your wireless adapter to the SSID listed on the camera label (and listed password). Your computer will pull an IP address 10.255.255.xxx. Open a browser and go to http://10.255.255.1 and log in to the camera (admin / blank) and then downgrade the firmware.

After the firmware downgrade you can set up normally using the mydlink app or through the GUI.

You can also change your router or AP's security settings to WPA2 + AES/TKIP or WPA (TKIP) and then press the WPS button on the router and then the camera. Once the LED on the camera (front) is solid green, connect to the camera normally and then downgrade the firmware. Once finished, change your security settings back.

Instructions From GreenBay42 Worked.
The Chrome Browser Did Not Work > Used Internet Explorer To Downgrade The Firmware
Connecting To The Camera Via 10.255.255.1 >> Log Into The Web Portal > Maintenance > Firmware Upgrade >  I Did See That Version 1.06.xx Was Loaded But Unable To "Add Camera" To My Account (The Original Issue) > Select The Extracted  "BIN" File" (Version 1.05.xx) From The Downloaded Archive > Upload The Firmware > Then Let The Camera Reboot On Its Own > Let The Timer Count Down.
I Rebooted The Camera A Second Time > Then Using My iPhone >  Re-added The Camera > Fixed.
Thanks GreenBay42  ;>

FYI This Is The Archive You Need To Download And Extract To A Folder On The Wireless Computer..
DCS-936L_REVA_FIRMWARE_v1.05.07

Hope Not Too Many Cameras Down Because Of The 1.06.xx Firmware !!!!

I have also successfully rolled back firmware following GreenBay42's instructions with a wireless computer then connected the camera to my wifi network and added it back to my account using Mydlink Lite app.  It took me a few more tries as I only let it reboot on its own after the firmware update/downgrade and the setup process would be stuck after changing the camera's password and setting the time zone.  After resetting and rebooting the camera again, I was able to complete the whole setup process and added the camera back to my account.

I'm at work will try when I get home....I cant see the camera anymore in https://www.mydlink.com/device (it was deleted when trying to re-ad)

Is it going to work if its been deleted from my cameras ??

Looks like there is something with the encryption. Do NOT WPS it. The camera is NOT bricked.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Glad you all got it back to 1.05.

EDIT: Heard back that WPA2 with AES-only is the problem. If your router supports/you set it to WPA2 with AES/TKIP it will work. D-LInk is currently fixing this issue.
