The following D-Link USA Website bug/issue list contains the collective contribution of the D-Link forum community. If you would like to contribute to this list, please post your suggestions as a reply to this thread.

Below is a summary of everyone's input thus far. Please let me know if I over-generalized, misrepresented, or missed anyone's concerns and I'll refresh the list with updates.

  • [Added 05/20/2013] Intelligent Chat - Response is incorrect when the virtual agent is unable to offer a solution. Message displayed is "I am sorry, but I don't know what to suggest. We're sorry that we couldn't answer your questions. It has been recorded and will be updated to the Virtual Agent as soon as possible. If your question is urgent, you can submit an email by clicking here". The link provided does not offer the ability to send an email, but rather opens a popup window to the following URL: http://www.dlink.com/us/en/support

  • [Added 07/20/2012] Where to Buy > Retailers - Except for the few retailers with one location, the addresses used for national chains seems random (different States). Recommend removing addresses from all national retailers and rely on the retailer websites to provide that information. This approach also reduces website maintenance if a location closes its doors (http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/where-to-buy)
  • [Added 07/20/2012] Forum - No links or reference to the Support Forum. Recommend placing the link in multiple locations: (1) the footer of every page, grouped with the Support "Quick Links"; (2) Support landing page on the left menu
  • [Added 07/18/2012] Request > Support > SharePort Application > Mac/PC/Mobile Devices - Rather than maintain a unique SharePort application page for each model router, create a central SharePort webpage containing all SharePort versions, segregated by platform (i.e. PC, Mac, Mobile, etc), and provide a router compatibility list for each SharePort version. Some older versions of SharePort do not work properly on some routers, and users are unaware of newer SharePort versions since they are not posted on the router product page. Maintaining a central SharePort page may prove more useful to users and much easier to maintain and update for D-Link

They just updated the support page as of last week. Took off of what there Canadian site has going.

The site looks really clean. Very nice!

The DGL-4100, 4300, 4500 no longer have support pages.  

Is that intended?  There are still some pieces when you search for them, but no place to download the firmware or download the manuals, etc.

  • [Added 07/18/2012] Request > Support > SharePort Application > Mac/PC/Mobile Devices - Rather than maintain a unique SharePort application page for each model router, create a central SharePort webpage containing all SharePort versions, segregated by platform (i.e. PC, Mac, Mobile, etc), and provide a router compatibility list for each SharePort version. Some older versions of SharePort do not work properly on some routers, and users are unaware of newer SharePort versions since they are not posted on the router product page. Maintaining a central SharePort page may prove more useful to users and much easier to maintain and update for D-Link
