DWA-160/DIR-655 and VPN

I'm having issues using IE7 and Firefox after connecting to office VPN.  Once I connect, I'm unable to use IE7 and Firefox (no pages are accessible).  I suspect the DWA-160 is the culprit since I can use IE7 and Firefox normally after connecting to my VPN using the internal wireless card that came with my laptop.  I haven't changed any of the default settings on the DIR-655.

I can't figure out why connecting with the DWA-160 and my internal wireless card would yield different results.

Any thoughts?

Yeah that sounds pretty strange :-\

What driver version are you running?
What utility are you using (D-link or Windows)?
What OS?
Any Anti-Virus or firewalls?

Is you internal wireless card enabled when you try to use the dlink adapter? Make sure the internal card is disabled and try to connect again.. also you can try to uninstall the dlink utility and re-install the latest drivers only and use windows to connect to your wireless network

My internal card is disabled.

I will try uninstalling the d-link utility and reinstall the latest driver.

What type of VPN?
Who set up the VPN on the initial adapter?

My thinking is that if it is a IPsec tunnel with a 3rd party VPN client that is set to tunnel all traffic through the VPN, it is possible the nescesarry static routes were created on the primary adapter but not this one.

I think there are some settings that are overlooked between the "internal" card and the dwa-160.  What you may want to do is compare the tcp/ip properties of both connections. As well, the host has or could have restricted access by MAC address.

How do I compare TCP/IP properties?  I haven't restriced any access by MAC address.  I'm using MAC address filtering to connect to the router, but other than that I haven't changed any configuration settings that come with the DIR-655.

I'm using ARRAY SSL VPN.  I connect through my browser.  I also CISCO VPN installed that I use to connect to my client's network.  If I use CISCO VPN, IE7 works fine.  It's only when I connect using ARRAY and try to use IE7 that things go belly up with the DWA-160.
