I think, all "USB notes" are importants (manage externally attached USB HDDs from the web interface for copying to/from the NAS); and I can add a (un)compress (RAR) function, to compress (for example) a whole directory, but without any other computer on.

A good idea : add a "wlan stick" (on usb or hub) to connect this nas without wire !

However, the challenge here is that every suggestion is important or critical to the person making the suggestion.  Although I have a good idea of what is critical versus "nice-to-have", being that this is an open forum, I don't want to censor or categorize the input from the community.

Excuse me, but USB is only an Universal Serial Bus, I thing no hardware modification is required for this... just the good driver(firmware)... for example, DLink DWA-160 Rev A has a linux driver (ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/wireless/dwa-160/DWA-160_driver_3.2.0.17_rev_A1_linux.zip)
