smtp problem
« on: October 14, 2009, 07:30:13 PM »

Here's the problem in a nutshell:
2 different email accounts (email1 and email2) using different smtp mail servers

Just replaced a clients bad router with the 330 router.
the order goes westall modem---> router--> MS 2003 server
email was working fine before router change.
after router change the outgoing email of email1 won't send--I can ping the smtp mail server, but it won't authenticate back. outgoing email of email2 works just find.

no settings were changed on the computers

Any setting on the router that I should be paying attention to? I have also set up a vpn but that is another issue.

Are either of the SMTP servers that MS 2003 box you mentioned?

Are your clients behind this router reaching out, behind this router reaching in, or on the public side of this router reaching in?

Any relevant log entries?

Firmware ver?
