Internet disconnects on phone pickup/close

So every time I pick up or close the phone (landline), even if it's not ringing it cuts the internet.
I have a Dlink DSL-2740U, I tried 4 different adsl splitters but none of them made any difference and there's nothing wrong with my router's settings, even google couldn't help.
I'm pretty much hopeless at this point, so if you know how to fix this issue please tell me.

  • What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Make sure the phone lines that the modem is correctly Filtered with DSL filters if needed. Talk to your ISP about this to ensure the phone lines are of good quality, filtered correctly and the modem may need to be put on separate phone line away from the land line phone.
