I am getting too old maybe but I am a visual learner and reading all this stuff just spins me in circles. I have a camnoopy and 2 shengslite as well as 2 dB power security cameras I had them set up on my laptop but after 5  corrupt hard drives I moved to Chromebook and I am having difficulty setting up my router to gain access my chrome book is model is Samsung 500c13 - k02us it is version 2 or 3 so I am supposed to be able to do this which a google play store app  but camnoopy will not install on the chrome book so I need to set up the cameras via static and port forwarding and firewall. I can't read and follow it, I need someone to walk me through a video slowly once I get it I won't have issues doing it, again and again, I just need to get through it without guessing as to what I am doing wrong before I embed in my mind all the wrong ways  can someone please assist.. ty in advance  getting too old to see and I am a visual hand on learner not able to read and process learner.. whoa is me..

I believe that you need to contact the Mfr of your cameras to have them help you set up these cameras with the router. They will have all the information I presume to get you up and running with them. Be aware that Google is limiting plug in usage with there browser so chrome may not be the best browser to use anymore due to this limitation. We recommend our users to use IE11 or FF. I would ask the cameras Mfr on what they recommend.

Good Luck.

You may need to get into something more compatible then. Google is known to make changes to there main browser and limiting usage of with not supporting some add-on features. I suppose they don't have any 3rd party app support like if you could install FF browser?

Chromebook may not be fully supported on D-Link products. Again, you'll need to contact the Mfr of these cameras for more help and information.
