Dir-868L A Invalid image file. Please select the correct image file and upload it again.
I am hardwired and downloading the bin file that downloads from the server when I "Check for Update". How can I get this thing updated? I appreciate any assistance with this. I am currently running 1.00 and the latest is DIR868LA1_FW109b08.bin

The router is Version A1 and located in the US. I didn't factory reset the router first. I remember all the setting so resetting from scratch is not an issue. I will try this process this evening and see what happens and respond back with findings.

I ment to ask you, what version of FW is currently loaded? v1.00? I'm wondering if maybe a stepped update is needed if your still on v1.00...
Please try v1.12:

Yes, 1.00 and the only version I can see to download is only the latest version on the website not any previous versions.

Ya there are prior versions listed...
http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-868L

Select the down arrow for the list.

Try this, if v1.12 doesn't upgrade fully using the update process linked, try loading v1.04, then try v1.12.

Even v1.01?

What browser are you using to send the find? It should be IE11 or FF. Be sure that any security browser add-ons and PC security is temporarily disabled before sending the file. Be sure to clear browser cache before and after sending the file.

If you can't seem to get anything to work, try this to load v1.12:
 Emergency Recovery Mode

Tried everything with a PC and could only get it to work using the below process you offered. It did work and router seems fine now.

If you can't seem to get anything to work, try this to load v1.12:

Ok. I think that since you were on shipping FW and had not updated, probably needed to use the recovery mode. Should be good now.

Enjoy.

Since this update I'm having issues with wifi drops. The wifi doesn't actually drop out it just stops passing data. Any device connected via wifi sees the pause in data but LAN connected devices do not have the issue. Any thoughts?
