There is a new Beta firmware 1.24B01 that i cannot get to install.

I tried resetting router, also doing 30/30/30 method, i tried using different browsers, chrome, firefox IE, and nothing works.

I tried different PC's all directly connected with either intel nics, realtek or broadcom, and i keep getting the same error

I get the following message

"Upload Failed

The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this device, or the uploaded file may be corrupted.

If the uploaded file is correct, it is possible that the device may be too busy to properly receive it right now. In this case, please try the upload again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can upload new firmware.

The Gateway will not be reprogrammed."

Where did you get this version from?
There was a v1.24 however it s was never released officially and never worked for installation.

The 4500 has been discontinued and is EOL this no further development has been done.

it was recently uploaded on 05/26/16 to the USA support site under beta status, but it looks to be a WW version and not an NA version, which is why its probably not installing. I see for all that generations routers D-link did issue a beta or release firmware for Galaxy S4 wifi fix, so there should be no reason why DGL-4500 should not get it. DIR-655 rev A, DIR-825 Rev A, and DIR-855 Rev A, all have the same Ubicom cpu, and they all received the Galaxy S4 fix.

Can you please have D-link correct the file with the NA firmware instead of WW firmware.

What Rev is your router?

Ok, I tried on my A2 and got same issue. I'll ask about it and see. I believe this is the same one I found years back and asked about it and didn't get any information. I saw the same issue back then as well. Not sure if they'll fix it or not. Hasn't been any users posting about Samsung wifi issues.

i am having wifi issue with my samsung galaxy device, when it connects to the router, the router restarts every two minutes.

if I do not turn on wifi or i do not connect my phone to the network, the network stays up.

At first I thought it was the power supply, so I bought a brand new oem power supply, and it does the same thing.

I tried resetting to factory defaults, and the 30/30/30 clear nvram method, and still some incompatibility between the galaxy and this router.

The only difference that even if I use tkip encyption and/or turn off wmm enable, it still resets the router.

What wireless modes are you using?
Try WPA2 and TPIK only and test.
Happens on either frequency?

One suggestion, if the router portion of the 4500 works well for you and the FW doesn't fix the Samsung issue, you could disable the radio on the 4500 and wire connect up a D-Link wireless DAP or a D-Link router and then you can Turn a router into an AP.

i swapped to a ASUS RT-AC66U, until hopefully d-link reissues the beta for NA market.

Although the ASUS is a much more advanced router and has a more robust settings, I really preferred Gamefuel qos system from D-link.

You could use the 4500 as your main host router and then use the Asus for your wifi. Disable the WiFi on the 4500.
