Was planning on updating this thread as well this week  8)
I can confirm, that the latest firmware fixes the problem! I didn't have any hardware ever since updating! I'm using my VLAN configuration again and didn't have any problems. Great, I can finally use the switches as I intended to.

Just adding an additional confirmation that the updated firmware solved this problem on 12 of our switches that were having random factory resets.
