There are probably occasional clouds but I would think that shouldn't be enough to trigger the camera to revert to night mode (B and W ). At night, all that is turned on in the area is an end table light with a low wattage bulb and that is enough for the camera to remain in the daytime mode (color vs B and W). It is very bright in the room all day as there are a lot of windows. The transitioning betwen day mode and night mode and back to day mode happens many times throughout the day which is odd. I also have the motion sensitivity turned down to 70.
Some problem here. Also a DCS-2330L I own does the same. Switching Day/Night mode should not trigger an alarm.(The user shouldn't have to care about this. The internal firmware of the camera is supposed to handle something like that. If it mutes the alarm for that second or whatever other internal solution.)
This is still a problem. Can't believe it hasn't been addressed in any FW updates? It is very annoying and I just have to remember if I get an alert of motion / sound detection around sunrise, sunset or on a cloudy day I try to ignore it - unless there is a REAL trigger at that time!

Anyways - if someone was to turn on my lights the camera would switch to daylight and not pick up the motion detection which is real!Same with turning the lights off!
