I`ve been trying to use this add-on but I`ve a problem. Installation is ok, no warning, no issues. After installing when I try to run the interface from application panel a new window opens with http:\\<my nas ip>:901 but that page is unreserchable.
My Nas is DNS-320L
What can I do?
Please help me.

I found a bug which did not start SWAT. Fixed. To reinstall the addon is not necessary. Do the following:
1. At the end of the file /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/samba/init.sh append the string

echo "swat 901/tcp" >> /etc/services2. To run the same command in the shell and restart the addon.

Hi,

When i start SAMBA, my old users from default DLINK CIFS do not work anymore...
And when i try to create a new user through SWAT, i receive the following message "password change in demo mode rejected"

What can i do to fix this?

Hi all,

I try to bring this topic up again: Any solutions to the post of Guizzoni?
I also have the issue that SWAT is started in demo mode and I cannot access the NAS via Samba. It seems that the user management is partially taken from the initial setup via the firmware, but can then not be overridden in SWAT (as the demo mode is active).

Addon was created at the request of users. It performs the basic functions of SMB. I do not plan further development of the addon.

I made the demo mode by removing the -a in the inetd.conf at
swat stream tcp46 nowait root:root /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/samba/sbin/swat swat -a -d 10

unfortunately i get Create User failed as message. Does this work for anybody?
