Disappoint in the short life span of the DCS-932L
« on: August 17, 2014, 06:40:35 AM »

I installed the 932L at my cottage as a lake web cam last year. I only operated it from May to November in 2013 and April to August of 2014 before it packed it in. No response from the camera when plugging it in. Tried rerunning the setup but when plugged in the red light does not come on. Tried resetting it. No joy.

Very disappointed in the shot life of this product. Only 12 months it was actually on.

Well the warranty period is only 12 months. I'm not sure of where you used it (indoor/outdoor) or temps it was exposed to in your cabin.

Anyways, looks like one of the cheapest prices on Internet is $70 at New Egg for the same model.

Do any status lights on the camera display when the unit is plugged in?

before tossing the camera, try another 5-volt power supply
be sure polarity is correct
