DNS-345 and popcorn hour A-400
« on: January 21, 2014, 09:47:03 AM »

Has any one accessed their 345 via a popcorn hour A400?  I have been able to see my NAS on the A400 but not be able to play files.  My WD TV sees it and plays files fine, but the A400 not.  I am not sure if I have my NFS Service set up properly, ie. do I need to do something with "users"?

How does one try "Smb"?  I am used to media players simply detecting my network drives and playing the files, having to set something up is new to me.

My Boxee Box and Netgear media players have options to connect to remote storage using either NFS or Samba. SMB is something you would configure in the network shares section of your media player, not the DNS-345. I'm presuming the Popcorn Hour has an equivalent setting.

Post back and let us know how things turn out.
I'm looking at purchasing the Popcorn Hour myself and and curious as to how well the unit performs with the DNS-345.  ;)
