Well, the update was uneventful and the new software is installed. On the router side, in my case i changed the wireless mode from 1300 down to 600, and kept the preamble short.

Miraculous!!!!!! changing the wireless mode down to 600 enabled ALL my 5ghz clients to connect reliably and hold connection with incredible speed. I am now getting close to my ISP speed of 15/1 over the wireless.

Played BF4 last nite, for the 1st time with no lag and great multiplay gaming.

Do you nave any clients have have native AC wireless support? If not, I recommend disabling AC modes if your not using it.

I feel like I should know this, but does changing the wireless mode from 1300 to 600 mean setting the mode to wireless n instead of a mixed n and ac?

Not yet Santa is delivering one next week. I have a feeling that the older/slower clients on the wireless network is going to dictate the speed, in this case I'll have to leave it at 600.

Although, I will test the AC side of it to see how well it works, especially the beamforming.
