DIR-300 NRU B5 missing Local domain option on 1.4.9 firmware
« on: March 30, 2013, 07:15:21 AM »

Hello,

Today I upgraded firmware on my DIR-300 NRU B5 router from version 1.3.3 to the latest version 1.4.9 and didn't find Local domain option in settings. I can't really remember if it was present in previous firmware, but I most certainly could access my home computers by names like "homepc.dlink" and now I can't. Googling suggests however that such an option was present in other router revisions, not B5.

Slightly off-topic, but I also would like to note that command panel interface becomes less and less usable. It wasn't as bad when I upgraded from 1.2.* to 1.3.3, but now it has become much worse. Maybe it was the problem why I couldn't find necessary option.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I recommend that you phone contact DLink support and ask if this feature is available on this model.
