Notice the extensive Release Notes!    ;)
The new firmware finally seems to fix the uPnP security flaw.

But since it's on the Canadian site - it's probably for Canada only...?

1.04 is a bust for me - router has locked up at least once a day, sometimes twice, since the update 7 days ago.  Back to 1.03
I would pay extra money for a router that was not so "full featured"....

I think this router needs some review. I haven't had any issues with mine.

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using Link> teamviewer if your interested. Its safe and secure.

  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
  • Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask. Link>Checking MTU Values
  • For DSL/PPPoE connections on the router, ensure that "Always ON" option is enabled.

Do you know the date displayed in Current Firmware Time field under Web GUI TOOLS>FIRMWARE section for the firmwares listed below?

You would have to load it to see the date code.

Yep, but at the moment we don't have any unit to try here.
Usually those date codes refear to the real firmware date release also reported in the Release Notes. Regrettably the date code on D-Link worldwide site refears to publishing date on their website not to the real release firmware date.
Only 1.04 build 02 on canadian FTP has a Release Note reporting: 20130211.

Is there anybody who has already updated that can provide any of firmwares date code above?
