WDS with AP - Multiple DHCP?
« on: February 20, 2013, 04:23:56 AM »

Hello,

I have setup 3x 2553 DLINK as WDS with AP.

One of them is a DHCP Server for the mobile devices. Additionally I have a DHCP Server for the workstations.
When I now connect to the WDS AP's I always get the IP's from the DHCP Server, not from the AP.
Do I need to turn on DHCP Server on all AP's? If yes, wouldn't they give the same IP multiple times?

Thanks alot

That would be a conflict in the network and is not recommended. One source for DHCP services is recommended, so that only IP address is handed out from one location to the requesting device.
