Good morning friends.
Excuse my bad English. I'm from Brazil.
I need to clarify some doubts:

1 - I need to know if the DNS 320 + on a Gigabit PC can run 1080p videos and DVD and BD ISO without locking problems?

2 - Also I would like to know how to recover my data in RAID1 burn the DNS-320?

Excuse my bad English,

I shared 1080p and BDRemux videos over my gigabit lan without problems (I have 2 NAS sharing), but I use Twonky Server vers. 7 for the DLNA (I don't use the Dlink DLNA, is not good for me), my players are Western Digital TV Live. Also, I have full bluray films onto the DNS-320 (Raid-1) at the same, no playing problems.

I can not say anything about you first question because we do not stream videos.

The answer to your second question is simple - you use your tested backup to restore if both disks die.  If only one disk dies then the unit will rebuild the raid array for you when you replace the defective disk.

Do NOT rely on RAID 1 as a backup - it is not.  Its function is to keep on working if a disk fails.  You should have a backup on another disk or tape.

My concern is if the NAS crash. No disks.
But this topic (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=40461.0) says that a recovery is possible.

Because you say RAID1 is not backup?
Why use another external drive would be safer?
My concern is not theft or fire.

It's true. Backup is that if you delete file / or the file file is corrupted / or drive crash, you have backup on second independent drive for recovery.
When you delete file (and you have RAID1), then file is deleted on both drives at same time ! It is suitable only to ensure of crash drive; but backup on external drive is the best solution.

And yes - external backup drive on other location (steal, fire) and frequency of the backup as needed (eg, the first of the month)
