Port forwarding + Mac address filtering

Hi there. I am interested if it is possible to open ports only to specific MAC-addresses? I would like to be able to access my NAS-storage where ever I am but on the other side I would like to keep this ports closed for everyone else. MAC-Address filters would be great doing this.

So my question is: does MAC-filter apply only on local network or does it also apply on port forwarding?
