DNS-325 - Compatible HDDs

The first list below contains published D-Link approved and verified Hard Drives (HDDs). The second list contains HDDs tested by D-Link forum community end users. If you would like to contribute a HDD you personally tested to this list, please post the HDD make/model/capacity, configuration, length of time in use, and observations (e.g. stability, performance, etc) as a reply to this thread.

I just purchased this unit without realizing there is a HDD compatibility list. I was thinking of installing of WD Caviar Green HDDs in this unit. It appears they are not on this list. I was planning to do RAID 1. Am I out of luck which I need to return this unit? The model #s are: WD20EARS-00MVWB1 (2TB) and WD10EARS-00Y5B1 (1TB).

Since the HDD line is not on the list, you'll have to reference the experiences of other users in this forum who tried that HDD and use your best judgement. If you search around this forum y(and the DNS-320 forum) you're bound to find some threads on the subject.  :-\

Add WD25EZRS-00J99B0. 2.5TB WD drive. Used for about 2 weeks in standard type configuration. Now using it in a RAID1 setting along with the WD20EARX (2TB WD), which also is working just fine. Both are SATA 6G.

Power on hours as reported by SMART: 7100+ (more than 295 days... I though I got brand new..)
34 power cycles, 413 start/stops
No issues, used in single drive configuration.

If you would like to contribute a HDD you personally tested to this list, please post the HDD make/model/capacity, configuration, length of time in use, and observations (e.g. stability, performance, etc) as a reply to this thread.

*Disclaimer: Hard Drives (HDDs) categorized as tested by end users were neither internally tested nor verified by D-Link. As such, users who opt to purchase HDDs on this list categorized as tested by end-users for their ShareCenter DNS-325 do so at their own risk.

Been using both in a RAID 1 config for a month now.
