What Transfer Speeds are you getting?
« on: August 13, 2011, 08:21:15 PM »

Hi,

I am dissapointed by the fact that I can't play large files in 1080p on my DSM-750.  I run the media server on the DNS-323.  All my cables are CAT5E so I think the issue is either the processor and/or the slow transfer speed (10-11Mb/s) on my DNS-323.  I am using Seagate Barracuda F1's in a Raid-1 config.

I was wondering what the typical file transfer speeds are on the DNS-325 that people are getting?  Also, does anyone use this in conjuntion with the DNS-750 or boxee and are able to play 1080p without getting a stuttering playback?  Also, why didn't they out a Gigabit interface in the Boxee???

thanks!

DNS-325, two Seagate 1.5TB drives in RAID 1, 38 - 40MB/s read/write speed.

1080p with 5.1 / DTS sound is no problem.

I'm also running Boxee but I'm using a PC to drive the software, not the Boxee Box.
