I have the DIR-655 now and I'm not happy with it, I have a post in that section.

So I'm thinking of another one , We have three people that do on line gaming 2 wireless and 1 wired,

what are my choices , 4500 or 825 , which one would be better and I also want to hookup a usb printer to it (samsung ML-2010}

I have the DGL-4500 and love it. Before the 4500, I had the DGL-4300.  I love the QOS features that these router have.  I have VOIP and need the best quality when on the phone.

The review above have 3 D'link's in the top five.

There doen't seem to be a great performance between the 4500 and mine 655 , but stability is the main thing. I have been reading the forum on these a lot.

LaRSin, I have the 4500 and am Extremely pleased.  I am a gamer and so far it is hard to veer away from the performance and stability of this product.  While initially there were configuration hurdles (all my own issues) once solved I am hard pressed to turn people away.  I currently am hardwired with 4 other wireless connections and no one complains.  I have not enabled the QOS functions yet as I have not maxed out the capabilities of the unit.  I am currently gaming, hosting 3 web sites, occasionally hosting internet radio, also doing tech support from my home.  All in all I have no issues.  I only wish the shareport would work in Vista 64, if your not worried about using that function then no worries. 

So for the extra money I put out to get this 4500 has payed for itself already.  I hope this helps you decide.

It can, but you need to configure it properly to do so.  WISH (Wireless streaming and prioritizing), as well as GameFuel.

As long as your using the dlink wireless adapters you will see a performance boost.  Each manufacturers built in adatpers performance increast but it seems different.  Our Wii gets excelent throughput and so does my laptop but my wife will still complain.  But this can just be her complaining to complain.

IMO the only real difference between the 4500 & the 855 is the supporting dual frequencies at the same time. I don't have the 855, but the 655 at work runs great especially when I'm bored and throw on an MMO to finish out the day.

My vote at home still runs for the 4500 with no higher than 1.12 firmware
