router temporary hangs
« on: December 13, 2008, 07:34:22 AM »

I have noticed that sometimes I will get a slight hang from the router when requesting a URL via the browser.  This happens on multiple computers.  I never experienced this problem with my old LinkSys router.  I have the 1.01 firmware upgrade installed.  There are no special QOS engine rules configured.

stevec5375,

Try to disable DNS relay located in the SETUP > NETWORK SETTINGS section and add DNS in the SETUP > INTERNET > MANUAL section. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222  Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

You can even try to lower the MTU to 1492. Save settings, open command prompt and do an ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew
