Slow internet connection through DES-1024D
« on: April 30, 2010, 10:30:00 AM »

I am seeing a severe hit on my speed performance when using my DES-1024D switch.  When I perform a speed test (from http://myspeed.visualware.com/) directly from the RJ45 port on my Arris TM502 cable modem, I measure speeds of about 25M down/5m up.

I have a DLink DI-804HV router connected to the modem and I see no hit on speed when measuring from any of the four ports on it.

When I connect my DES-1024D to any of the ports on the router and then measure the speed from one of the ports on the switch, the download speed drops to about 1M (the upload speed is unaffected).

When I do the same tests with my DSS-16+ switch, I see no loss of speed.

During these tests, I have nothing else connected to any of the ports.

Any ideas or is the DES-1024D switch just shot?
