No DTMF when in VM ??

I have the DVX-2000MS and when I go to VM on my DPH-125MS it does not recognize the dtmf tones for the password. The phone is configured to In-Band since that is what my ISP uses. If I set it to Out-of-Band (rfc2833) it works fine in VM however messes up my outbound calling to an IVR. any suggestions?
