Driver for DWA-552 that supports Wake-On LAN?
« on: April 26, 2010, 08:03:21 AM »

Hi there,

I have a DWA-552 running on an Intel DP35DP, Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).  Driver:  Atheros Communications Inc, 7.7.0.449, dated 12/18/2009.

The "Allow this device to wake the computer" checkbox is disabled in Device Manager for the DWA-552.  BIOS is configured to allow WOL.  The wired adapter integrated on the motherboard has this checkbox enabled.  I am hoping this is a driver limitation.

Does anyone know of a 64-bit driver version that has WOL enabled for the DWA-552?

Thanks,
David

Hi SapperSix,

Wake-on Lan is only supported for Hard-Wired Computers and Laptops that are plugged into the Cable Modem, Dsl-modem or Router.

If the computer is asleep, the DWA-552 is not connected to the Router, therefore it can't be woken up.
