How often does your router stop working where you need to reset it?

Mine stops working once every nine to twelve months.

Mine was almost daily.  I fixed it by buying a Linksys router to replace the dir-655.

About 1-2 weeks

1.33NA:

Just installed last week Thursday, locked up on Sunday.

The DIR-655 locks up SO much, that I put it on a power strip so that I can easily power on and off.

'Tis sad  :(

JimMonz....

If you are having that issue....just put the router on one of those little household timers so it will power off say at 3 AM every nite....then it will power back on according to the little plastic thingy you put in the timer....

Obviously, it shouldn't be needing that in the first place..... In what way is your router locking up ?  Wireless issues or just overall lockups ?  Maybe ask in a new thread...see if others have suggestions...

By lockup I mean no internet or LAN communication.
It seems both go out.
I recently updated my WAN connection from Auto to 100 Mps and no lockups for about 4 days.

I'm just watching it for now and we see what happens.

It seems just when I REALLY need to connect to the internet, I just can't. That's when I check everything and my network is down.

Like I said, it is working for now. Wait and see.....

This is the exact reason I came to this forum -- I've got two DIR-655's (A3 hardware) and ever since I updated to firmware 1.32NA I find that the units require rebooting every 1-3 days.  They worked flawlessly with the previous firmware and if I'm considering rolling it back (if possible).

It's verging on ridiculous as I know it's not the hardware.

PLEASE FIX THIS, D-LINK!  I love this router except for the constant release/renew.

Updated:

 I changed my WAN connection from Auto to 100 Mps and a funny thing happened with my wireless.

Normally, with a network activity graph, when set to auto, I would get a semi-flat graph (constant download speed) when downloading.

When I changed to forced 100 Mps, my graph was very jagged (like a saw tooth) meaning the downloading was starting and stopping.

I changed back to Auto, and I get a flat graph again.

I think I'll have to leave it on Auto.
