disconnect from server
« on: February 09, 2010, 09:59:18 AM »

I'm using the DSM 520 Media player to view my Videos on TV, in the past I was using the software from D-link to stream the videos from my PC over the router no problems at all. Now I bought the DIR 685 Router with hard drive  and the UPnP AV server but exactly after 30 minutes the DSM  520 is disconnected.
I use the WLAN connection DHCP is disabled, static IP on DSM. Also tried this with DHCP server enabled same result. Does anybody has the same problem?
My wireless Network works without any problems, signal is very good, Laptop next to the DSM had never the problem.

Thanks

It could be a problem with the streaming service making it drop, I can't even get mine to stream properly, I have to use a program for my PC pulling them off the router's storage.

finally I found a solution, bought a Powerline turbo adapter(Belkin) and switched from wireless to cable.
It works fine without any interruption or disconnecting.
