Bridging a DGL 4300 router with Westell 327W router/modem
« on: January 03, 2010, 05:08:34 PM »

I am trying to user my router as the primary router for my Westell 327W router/modem.  Does anyone know the steps to take (or point me in the right direction) on how to get my D-Link router to work with my Westell modem?  Thanks in advance!

There should be a bridge mode

Goto Basic -> Network Settings
WAN Port Mode: Bridge Mode

Router IP: Set this to 1 higher than your cable modem.  If your cable modem is 192.168.1.1 set Router IP to 192.168.1.2
Subnet mask likely 255.255.255.0
Then set your gateway to your cable modem IP, ie 192.168.1.1

Cable Modem LAN -> 4300 WAN -> 4300 LAN -> your devices

Is the westell the one actually providing dhcp access?

Does the Westell support WDS?
