You can’t set a static IP directly on the DCS-8302LH via the app. Using guidance from an APK, the solution is to assign a fixed IP through your router using the camera’s MAC address (DHCP reservation), which will give it a consistent IP for your Synology Surveillance Station. The app gets disabled when the camera is connected to Synology because the camera allows only one active control interface at a time.

This is a known issue with the Omna 180 HD and is usually related to HomeKit or firmware stability, not your Wi-Fi. The camera can stay online in the Omna app while losing its HomeKit connection, which is why Home shows “Camera Not Responding” until you restart it. Issues like this often come down to background services losing sync, similar to how apps or services such as Minecraft Gratis can behave differently depending on platform integration. Try updating to the latest firmware, removing and re-adding the camera to HomeKit, and assigning it a static IP on your router. HomeKit primarily supports motion or activity triggers for automations, and sound detection isn’t widely implemented as a trigger.
