Could D-Link add IPv6 Passthrough mode to DIR-836L?
« on: March 14, 2017, 09:58:40 PM »

Could D-Link add IPv6 Passthrough mode to DIR-836L's firmware?
I've tried several routers and found that only in Passthrough mode I can get ipv6 address and visit ipv6 websites.

Or anyone has any other way to help with my case?

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

How do you have the router configured? There is a a drop down for Automatic and Local Only. I think if you use local only with out any other configurations, IPv6 should pass thru. Not sure however.

FYI:
    This product has been discontinued.
Free support for this product will end on 11/01/2017

You can use this as as LAN to LAN AP then anything will pass-thru: Turning a router into an AP.
