DGL-4500 and IP Questions
« on: February 15, 2010, 09:08:11 PM »

So I've set up my DGL-4500. I've got a household full of people connecting to it wirelessly. (4 laptops, 3 Xboxes, and a PS3.)

Since I want to control speed priorities to individual consoles or laptops I assigned IP addresses to each device.

My roomies don't seem to be using these assigned addresses which makes it hard for me to control their speed priorities.

So now my question is, can I make my router only allow access to the IP addresses I assign?

Do Gamefuel consoles have speed priority over those no assigned?

Thanks guys!

you may grant or deny web access using "Access Control" under the advanced tab.

Also, instead of manually assigning each device a static IP, I would use the router's DHCP Reservation list in "Network Settings" under the Basic tab.  Otherwise you may experience problems with uPNP.

Yes, you may use GameFuel rules to prioritize connections.
