I have the DIR-655

I'm wired, wife is wifi.

How can I cap her bandwidth? She streams her shows online and it lags me to all hell when I'm gaming and getting me killed.

I do have QoS on, but not sure how the QoS rules work or if that's even what I want to be using.

Do you have WISH on I was having problems with that so I turned it off to test and it seems to work better.

mmmm... sounds like your ISP might be the bottle neck.

Who do you go through, and what do they advertise for speeds?

I it possible to limit her bandwidth if your router has the settings to do so.
Which router do you have?

I have the DGL-4500 and i can control the entire network as to who can access what on the internet to bandwidth throttling. And Game Fuel is awesome. Anytime my computer wants to hog the bandwidth it can and drop everyone else down to dial up speed..  Grin

If you limit her connection to 500k then she will still get good streaming. Leaving you the rest of the bandwidth to enjoy for yourself.
