DNR-322L Frequent disconnection of cameras

Hi all,

I am currently using DNR-322L HWv: A2, FWv: 2.40. As my NVR (4TB HD Capacity)
9 Cameras connected: 8 DCS-6010L HWv: A1 FWv: 1.15 and 1 DCS-910 HWv: A2 FWv: 1.04

I have scheduled these cameras to record always 24/7 and setup NVR to do automatic overwrite(Recycle when the storage space is less than 10%)

Problem:
The cameras that are connected to the NVR are getting disconnected and reconnecting on a pattern
Checking in the nvr logs, all cameras are getting disconnected every 1 mins and 10 sec and reconnects again after 48 secs.
Causing the recordings to be not smooth and skipping.
(I have checked and monitored all the cameras through liveview of each camera's web interface all are smooth and not disconnecting so the problem could not be from the cameras)

Can someone explain how this is happening and how to resolve this?

  • What region are you located?

Are the cameras wired or wireless connected to the main host router?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?
  • Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
  • Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner to find out. How many?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.60 and graduate addresses sequentially.   DHCP

I recommend a Static IP address for the DNR as well, 192.168.0.32

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com

Might power everything down for a few minutes then back on.
Any status on this?

Thanks for the reply,
All the cameras are wired, same as the nvr.
Were using a dreytek router / vigor3200
Originally all cameras are DHCP reserved ip
I have tried to do a static IP on all the cameras with the same result.(disconnecting from nvr).
Today, i have tried to continuously ping all cameras in the network, furthermore cameras are not disconnecting/ping time out. this goes the same with NVR.

I have tried to adjust the automatic overwrite (Recycle when the storage space is less than 10%) from 10% to 20%, upon checking NVR logs, it is now disconnecting randomly, ranging from 30sec to 15 min.

I'd reset 1 camera to factory defaults and set up from scratch and see if the the problem continues or not. If it does, I would connect 1 camera and NVR to a different router or external Gb switch and test. Possible interconnection issue here.

Thanks for the reply!
I have tested what you have suggested however the problem is still there.
I have done another test wherein i stop all the cameras from recording.(Camera connected but not recording)
On checking nvr logs and status, all cameras are stable and not disconnecting.

Upon reviewing all the logs,
There is a log where in It is saying "Recycle Over". All cameras are connected and recording fine after this.
However, after 6 hours, Recycle has started again, and the problem comes back again(Disconnecting and reconnecting of cameras.)

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. I'd ask them about this "recycle" log entry. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

  • What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Is the DNS getting a Dynamic IP address from the main host router? I recommend using a Static IP address ON the DNS set to 192.168.#.32 or 22.

What Mfr and model# cameras do you have.
How many cameras are there connected?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?

Were you able to sort this problem out ? Im having the same issues

Hello, the hardware version of my DNR is A2 with firmware 2.40 and device pack 2.0.25.

The DNR is set with a static IP, as well as all 5 Dlink camera all running on ethernet cables. 3 DCS-5020L and 2 DCS 2670L.
This problem started when i got the 2 DCS2670L and added them to the DNR to record 24/7.
It disconnects the camera and reconnects automatically but it also disconnects them from mydlink account and after a certain time removes them completely from my account by greying out the cloud icon.
I have tried running both DCS 2670L without having them registered to my DNR and it seems to be running fine. As soon as I register them to my DNR, that's when the problem starts and only to the 2670L. All 3 DCS 5020L run fine
