Can't access live video even after installing NCS plug-in

Hello,

desperately need help here, trying to configure the camera DCS-942L HW ver: B1 firmware ver: 2.12.04.    Have assigned it a static IP on my local network and can access the web gui just fine (using Firefox 58.0.1 on Windows 10) but cannot see anything in the live view.  The page just prompts "Click here to download the NCS Plug-in, and install it on your computer. Then restart your browser to view the video", so I did the install restarted the browser - still no luck - same prompt for message.   

Would like to setup motion detection but cannot see the image in order to set the areas. 

Note that the image comes through fine from the mydlink.com page albeit only from the Chrome browser.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try IE11 x32 or FF ESR version of there browser. The new standard version of FF doesn't allow plug-ins anymore.

thanks again, I finally got liveview to work by downloading the 32bit version of FireFox ESR as mentioned in this link
