Yes, seem it is an A2. Thanks for the extra information, I never been able to get QoS setting stick which is my major pain. The other issue are just either poorly written software or due a bad unit. Because having to restart and/or reset regularly to get setting to stick is no fun, especially when you have time sensitive device that need to access the Net 24/7. This unit was bought to replace a router that I loved but died after many years of heavy duty services. As someone suggested, I'll try to get in touch with regional Dlink see what they make of this.Regards,Zak
As an update, I changed my VDSL-modem and decided to test throughput again.Well, the result is the same as on my earlier 890l, QOS-page again is not saving the changes xDThe settings are ok for me at the time, though. So I don't believe I'm bothered to do a new RMA-run. If I need to change them, I just reset the whole machine and setup it again
May I know the exact steps taken to updating the firmware to 1.20? I would like to know so I can replicate this issue. Are you wired or wireless to the router during the update? The previous firmware version before the update?

I recovery updated down to 1.09b14 and then used the GUI's automatic firmware upgrade to 1.11 and then 1.20. Messed with the QoS settings but saves any settings thrown at it within 15 seconds. Is your 890 a rev. A2?

Please try changing the QOS settings after 3-5 days and see if anything happens. What browser are you using?
