DIR-895L cannot upgrade Firmware
pastorivera:
I have tried various times to upgrade the firmware on my router without success. It goes through the motions and says at the end that the update was successful but when i go back and look at the firmware date it is the same date that came with the router and is not reflecting the date of the upgraded firmware. Any ideas?

* Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
* What region are you located?
* Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch? Link> >FW Update Process
Be sure to clear browser caches before and after manually sending the FW file...

Hello,
I just bought a 895L router, I follow the instruction to update the firmware to 1.12 and do the reset and set up from scratch. Everything work for 2 hours, then the router keep rebooting itself. Can you please help and let me know what did I do wrong here? is there any setting that I missed. I went into 192.168.0.1 and login, only let me set one SSID, I don't see where it let me choose 2.4G,5.0G SSID. Any help would greatly appreciate, thanks.

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.
