Web Access Log Problem
« on: March 13, 2016, 09:55:31 PM »

Hello,

I have a D-link Dir-615 Router with D4 build and 4.14 firmware. But in advanced menu there is no option such as web filter or web access log like shown in user manual. Please tell me how can i enable those options. As there is no such option under advanced menu. Shown in picture.

Please help.

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

The rev model you have may not support or include any of the features seen in the user manual. The manual maybe an all inclusive instruction for all 615 rev models.

Hello ,

Basically i purchased it from friend he also doesn't know the region. so is there any other way to get that this rev does support web access log or not ?

REV_D4

But if you go to this UK support page i think so you can see rev D and also in specification there is a line that is saying this revision have web access log ability.

What region are you located?

This model router is probably EOL so I presume no further FW releases would be made available. I would either return the router or check out OpenWRT or DD-WRT FW to see if any of those 3rd party FW developers may have something that might work for you there.

Have you tried doing a factory reset, manually re-load the FW file from the UK site, factory reset then set up from scratch? Use IE or FF browser to do this.
Follow this process: Link> >FW Update Process

If this fails to enable the feature, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Hello,

Thanks for the help and reply, did that procedure and update my router but its still in same condition no web access log option in advanced menu. And there is no local d-link support center in my country.

Any other suggestions? Please.

One more thing is that possible that i can update with any other rev. router's firmware? my device will brick or run normally ?
