Please help...can't login

Hey all...
hope this isnt a stupid question but when i try to login to
my DIR-615 under admin and password:

Login
Log in to the router
    User Name :  Admin User  
Password :  
Enter the correct password above and then type the characters you see in the picture below.    

Problem is there are no characters just a box with a red X..
Cant find help anywhere to fix this...

What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8 or 9, set compatibility mode and test again.

Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic

tries compatibility in IE9...turned off firewall etc...tried IE10 no luck
tried FF and is all good
