can't connect to dlink site - SOLVED

If you're trying to install a cam to your mydlink account and it's telling you that "can't connect to dlink site" try the following.

You need to download the installation software from either the US site or the Canadian site. It makes a difference where your "mydlink" account is registered. If you registered in the US then you need to download the US installation software. Same goes for the Canadian one.

Let me know if anyone tries this and it works for them. It worked for me. If someone can go and take a look into the code and see if the installation software is trying to connect to the https://ca.mydlink.com or https://us.mydlink.com please let me know. I'd like to know if that was the problem... took me a week to come up with that one.
