Just bought an iphone4 and it will not connect to the wireless with our correct password-anyone have suggestions?

What is your wireless setup on the router ?

What do you mean? It's a dir615 wireless N-we have 3 other computers linked up to it and my blackberry works fine-thanks.

Does the iphone connect if you turn off Security on the Wifi as a test?

What wireless modes are you using? Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only.

Any other WiFi routers in the area? Use InSSIDer to find out.
Turn off Short GI and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

I have an iPhone 4 and full security on my network, including mac filtering, not broadcasting and WPA/WPA2-TKIP/AES running mixed N,G,B on 20Mhz.

I noticed that having it set to 20/40Mhz caused problems with the iphone connecting, and I think someone mentioned to me that the iPhone will only work on the 20Mhz setting.

I would recommend also setting Mixed G and N if you don't have any devices using B mode.

I am running WPA2, AES-I ended up rebooting the wireless and the modem, then setup the email address and then the wireless and now everything on the phone works fine. Thanks.
