NAT is Moderate on XBOX Live

(1/2) > >>

I just setup my DGL-4300 with a new modem I got from At&t. It is not a gateway it is just a plain modem. I port forwarded the two ports for xbox live and I still am getting moderate for my NAT. Any help will be appreciated.

What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?

Some things to try:
Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual? You can find these under Status/Device Info/Wan section.
Turn off ALL QoS (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP.

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using teamviewer.

Any status on this?

I found out the reason that this was occurring is because the "Modem" that AT&T gave me wasn't JUST a modem like I requested. It looked like it was just a modem and the packaging said it was just a modem but it has a hidden function that tries to make you go through AT&T's setup wizard which turns it into a non-bridgeable modem. So I just reset it and put it in bridge mode and then entered my PPPoE settings via my D-Link admin page and voilla! OPEN and Shmexy!

Good to hear man. Glad its working. Enjoy.
