Help with install

I purchased Dir615  and can't seem to get it installed.  Right now we are using a broadband card on this laptop, but we have Time Warner Cable Broadband, but have never used it, because we never had a router.  NOt sure where to start.  I inserted the disk, and went through several steps, but it never recognized the router. 

Any help?  Thanks!

Need to set up your a cable modem and router in the following manor:
cable line ~~~~~~~ cable modem ----------DIR-615 router ---------- connect your devices to the router.

Yea, I think TWC tracks your Mac too, so you may either have to clone your mac or call them to get it released.
