HI everyody !

I bought a WBR-2310 a few weeks ago and I have some problems with DELL INSPIRON 9. My laptop sees my hidden SSID but gets stuck on ACQUIRING NETWORK ADRESS. If I reboot the router, my laptod get connected immediatly. Do you have any ideas ?

Here's my configuration

Super-G Mode -Disabled
Extended range Mode - Uncheck
802.11 G Only mode - Check
Enable Hidden Wireless - Check
WPA2 wireless security with AES cipher type.

MAKE SURE MAC FILTERING IS TURNED OFF.

Go to the advanced tab, then to NETWORK FILTER.

It should be set to "TURN MAC FILTERING OFF"

If it still won't connect, disable any security/firewall programs on your computer.

If it still won't connect, try making the network visible.

My "Mac Filtering" was already OFF. Until now it works it's just kinda of weird to reboot my router from time to time.

what is your firmware version.. I`m using 1.05 without a glitch...  (over the hardware A1 )

On your laptop did you tried to force the reconnection on the network ( just to make sure the issue is with the router )  By rebooting the router you might just be forcing that from you pc...

Hi Cloon ! I'm using 1.05 too.

My wife's laptop did the same thing. It wasn't able to get connected, I reset the router and tadam, it connected right away. 

So I guess the problem is the router not our laptops. Maybe I mis-configured it but I don't know what I did wrong.

So I disabled the "Enable Hidden SSID" function and same results. 
What's strange if even with that function deactivated, my laptop wasn't able to see the router.

When I rebooted the router, my laptop recognized it right away ?

Do you think my router is defective ?
I use WPA2 should I use WPA instead ?

Hello San Antonio,

Which wireless utility are you using? Most dells come with the WLAN connection utility or a Intel PROset wireless utility. If you use one of the two, disable it. The built-in wireless utility should be able to acquire the address each time. It sounds like the DHCP server is on and working since it does connect you; so the only thing I can think of is just a software conflict with one of the above programs. Your security type shouldn't have any affect on this issue.
