Just downloaded the latest Released version 1.21 firmware for the DIR-655 and installed.  MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR SETTINGS BEFORE FLASHING!  When upgrading from 1.20 to 1.21, all settings were lost.  The 40Mhz channel width settings is back for wireless.  Wireless speeds are more consistant for me and I am able to get 300Mbps data rates both on the client and router status.  Throughput is consistantly in the 70-75Mbps rate.
