Can anyone tell me if I save my configuration file to my hard disk using a Version A3 dir-655 could I successful load that configuration on the new version B of the 655. I know this seems like a crazy request, but I have the A3, and I want to buy my dad the 655 , which will be a vB, and he needs help with configuration, so I thought I would just set mine up the way his should be and save the file and send it to him.  We live far apart.  thanks

I tried this to see if I could quickly configure my father-in-law's newer DIR655 and it did not work.

There are differenced between A# and B# hardware so saving a configuration to file from A# and loading it on B# hardware might cause problems. It's best to set it up from a clean factory reset. Get all the settings done up then save of a new config to file.
