1.33NA very stable ... thanks DLink
« on: January 30, 2010, 08:01:12 AM »

I was experiencing wireless restarts due to the DNS relay issues on ver 1.32NA; disabling it seemed to fix it.  So far with ver 1.33NA, DNS relay is on and the router has been very stable.

Thanks to Dlink.

To be honest, IMO you don't need to thank them, it's their responsibility to provide stable firmware, just that they haven't been able to until now for you specifically. For me, I'm going back to my WW firmware and all is ok it seems.

1.33 does not work in multicast (IGMP)
when setting a static WAN IP 10.40.20.XX mask 255.255.255.0
multicasting 239.0.84.XX

Check to ensure that you have Multicast Streams enabled.

I have hardware version A4 and use PPPoE to connect.

As for DLink, I agree that is their job and they were slow to fix it, but at the same time, at least they acknowledged and fixed the DNS relay issue.

1.33NA seems to be the most stable 1.3x firmware, wireless performance is amazing.  HOWEVER, my unable to save anything on the advanced tab bug is back hardcore.  Nothing saves anymore after the first save and reboot.  I used to at least be able to make 3 changes before the 3rd reboot would cause everything to "reset".  Now I can't make a single change.
